MCALLEN, TEXAS.- The National Association of Hispanic Publications (NAHP), awarded El Latino San Diego and its event: Celebrando Latinas, with the Gold Award on the Outstanding Event category for big publications. The Award was given during the José Martí Awards presentation, at the National Business Expo Convention that took place in McAllen, from October 19 to 22.
Celebrando Latinas reached its sixth anniversary this 2016 with the theme “Discover Your Power”, and took place this past August.
Its founder and Presiden of El Latino, Fanny Miller, first started the conference, which has become the largest Latina conference in Spanish nationwide, the summer of 2010.
The event is recognized for its organization and contribution to Latina women in San Diego County. Planning for July 15, 2017 is currently going on. Following past years’ program, the conference will be based on four main topics: Business, Beauty, Health and Technology.
With her life experience as a cornerstone, Fanny Miller has propelled this event that every woman has the power to seek to advance, overcoming the challenges that limit her and that she has to move forward, in spite of the obstacles and challenges that life puts in their way.
